PASTOR T. L. HOOD
Spanning over 20 years, Pastor T. L. Hood’s life’s work has been dedicated to ministering to those poor in spirit needing deliverance from captivity and oppressed by the weight of the world. With the call to open the eyes of those blind to the grace and mercy found in Christ Jesus.
Pastor Hood moved from the traditional to the exceptional. His down to earth “keeping it real approach, and his anointed oratorical style, stimulates the intellect of people on all levels and it is evident by the increase of membership. Crossroads Christian Cathedral Church under the vision of Pastor Hood aims to meet the needs of the “last days” generation thirsting for knowledge and a closer walk with God.
Being raised in Little Rock, Arkansas by his mother and step father it was by Divine appointment that he followed the teaching of his mother, the late Naomi L. Thompson; here he received his initial spiritual training and guidance. Therefore it was no surprise when Pastor Hood found himself being called into the ministry in June of 1989 and assuming his first pastorate at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, 5 months after accepting his call to preach, and to be about his father’s business.
In February, 2000 Pastor T. L. Hood was called to provide the spiritual guidance and leadership to the New Horizons Baptist Church Family in Kansas City, Kansas. New Horizons Baptist Church began to move towards becoming a Kingdom principle minded church in 2004. Stepping out in faith and building upon the 11 principles, Pastor T. L. Hood, led by the Holy Spirit, changed the ministry’s name to Crossroads Christian Cathedral Church also known as CCC of KCK.
Pastor Hood is married and has four adult children and one teenager. He has been married for 19 years to Karin Y. [Trezvant] Hood of Little Rock Arkansas. Pastor Hood holds an Associates Degree in Biblical Counseling, a three – year certificate in Biblical Counseling, a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Theology, and is currently working on his Masters in Christian Theology and Pastorate Theology at Western Baptist College.
